I've loved making art since my earliest memories. In kindergarten, I wanted to be a "drawinger" when I grew up. Now I sell my art on the side, so I guess that dream came true!
I've got an entrepreneurial and trailblazing drive; if I want to achieve a goal--whether that's a particular piece of art, a new technical skill, or a way to evangelize--I'll do whatever it takes to get that result, even if I have to start something completely from scratch. For example, I did my own senior pictures for high school, started my own online shop of stickers, create my own jewelry, and built a homeless ministry program for college students!
I enjoy being out in nature and going on long walks. I'd love to go hiking in northern Minnesota or Alaska, and visit Ireland again (the photo on the left is from a pilgrimage a few years ago!).
I am also a lay member of the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans), an 800-year-old religious order established by St. Dominic. Our mission is to preach the Gospel for the salvation of souls, and to "contemplate and share the fruits of contemplation" (contemplata aliis tradere).
I've recently gotten reacquainted with my violin, and enjoy playing for worship nights with a band.
